3 STEPS TO RENT A LIMOUSINE FOR PROMThere are few events in high school that are as important or memorable as prom night. It's a chance to party with your classmates, make memories with your closest friends, and dress up for your stunning date. And there is no better way to celebrate prom than renting a limo for the big night.
With roomy interiors, awesome amenities, and your own personal chauffeur, a limousine is the perfect way to travel in style on prom night. But the process of renting a limo can sometimes be confusing with all the options and vendors available. In this article, we'll go over how to rent a limousine for prom and help you have an incredible evening you'll remember forever. Step 1: Figure Out Logistics Your first step in renting a limo should be to figure out the logistics. Figuring out the basic information about your limo rental will help you determine the cost of the limo and other important information. People The first thing you should figure out is how many people are going to be in the limo. This is important because you need a limo that will fit all the people in your group. A larger limo will be more expensive, and more people in the limo means a higher price per hour. It also means that there are more people to split the cost with, so figuring out how many people are coming will help you figure out the cost per person. You should also take into consideration how big your friends are. While many limos say that they can fit 10 people, this often means it can fit 10 people who are sitting very close together. If your friends are on the football team or are just larger in general, you might want to upgrade to a larger limo. Distance and Time Another major consideration should be the distance you will travel. Many limo companies charge fees based on the distance traveled by the vehicle. This can include both the miles traveled and the amount of gas used. If you plan on traveling a long distance in the limo, you should consider these additional fees. You should also take into consideration the amount of time you need the limo. Most limo companies will charge for the limo by the hour, which means a longer rental will cost more. If you are planning on using the limo for a ride to and from the prom, make sure you take into account how long you'll be at the event. Timing and Services You should also figure out exactly when and where you will need the limo. Some companies will charge more based on the timing of the event and the current demand. If you know that you will definitely be renting a limo, booking it months in advance can save you a significant amount of money. You should also take into account the services you'll need on prom night. Will you plan on making multiple stops? Will you need music? A TV? Refreshments and food? Answering these questions will help you get a much better idea of the cost of your limo rental and which companies are right for you. Step 2: Shopping Around Once you've gotten the logistics figured out, you need to start shopping around to make sure you get the best deal and services. Make sure to call different companies and visit their websites. You can get a lot of information from visiting a company's website, like their pricing structure, services, and discount packages. If you're calling these companies, make sure to let them know you are shopping around for limo service for your prom night. This increases the chance that they will offer you a discount package or offer a special limo. You should also look at the reviews of each company. Make sure to pick a limo company that has experience with prom night customers. This ensures that you will have a great experience and get a driver that will meet all of your needs. After all your shopping around, you will get a much better idea of the costs and services associated with each company. If you are still having trouble deciding on your limo rental after shopping around, make sure to visit the showrooms with your group. This will give you a much clearer idea of what you are getting and will help you make a good decision. Step 3: Rent Your Limousine! Once you've done your shopping around, you are finally ready to pick the right limo for your prom night. Make sure to pick a limo company that offers a blend of good pricing, great services, and reliable performance. Make sure to confirm with your group the timing of the limo and the stops you have agreed to make. This will help you stay within your mileage and time limits and avoid any unforeseen problems. You should also make sure to treat the limousine with respect. Things can get very exciting and fun on prom night, but damaging the limousine in any way can lead to increased costs and a major headache. You can still have a ton of fun in your limo rental, but just make sure things don't get out of hand. And finally, make sure to tip your driver. Tipping your driver, especially at the beginning of the evening, shows that you respect the driver for his efforts. This ensures that your driver will deliver the best experience and meet all of your needs for the evening. Rent a Limousine for Prom and Have the Time of Your Life As you can see, it's easy to rent a limousine for prom if you follow these steps. Make sure you do all the necessary research and speak to your group in-depth about the limo rental to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. "Fashionably late" could be mean up to 40 minutes past the start of the party. It may be cool to arrive fashionably late. However, it doesn't matter whether you're on time or late when you arrive in a limo or party bus. But, which one is right for your event? There are pros and cons for both choices. Struggling to decide whether you want the fun and chaos of a party bus or the luxury and class of the limo? Check out our guide to help you to decide which one is right for your celebration. Let's get started below! Why Rent A Limo?Limousines are the most classy and luxurious way to travel. Imagine those soft leather seats, beautiful interiors, sparkling LED lights, and bottles of champagne. Everyone from the President of the United States to Hollywood movie stars take advantage of the limo lifestyle. Thankfully, you don't have to be rich and famous to enjoy the experience yourself. You can hire a limo for your next event with us. 1. Make an Impression If you want to show that you belong to the party, then there's no better way to make an impression than arriving in a limo. Nobody will doubt your classy taste when you step out of one of our flashy limos. 2. Privacy You don't want people peeking into your vehicle while you're making your way to the party. You may be adding the final touches to your look or making out with your romantic other-half. The dark and tinted windows mean that you can enjoy some deserved privacy in the back of a limo. Passersby will wonder who you are. 3. Cost-Effective You may think that limos are only for the ultra-wealthy. However, you'll be surprised about how affordable limo hire can be for your party. Don't believe it? Check out our incredibly low prices. 4. Cozy and Comfortable You want to relax on your way to and back from the party. The expensive and quality seats and the soothing motion of the vehicle is the perfect way to travel. You can enjoy chatting with your friends on the backseat or making out quietly in the corner. What Are the Drawbacks of Renting a Limo? Not everything is hunky dory when you hire a limo for your party. You've got to consider the drawbacks as well. Limos are not for everyone. 1. Not Enough Space The decision to rent a limo depends on the size of your group. Many limos only have the capacity for up to ten people. However, we have "stretch limos" with a capacity of up to 22 people. But, if you have a bigger crowd this won't be enough. You may want a party bus instead to give yourself more room to dance to the music on-board. 2. Too Formal Renting a limo can give the impression of luxury and formality. That's usually the appeal of limo rentals. However, if you prefer a crazier and fun vibe, it may be the wrong choice. You don't want to dampen the party spirit with your flashy limo. Why Rent a Party Bus?The party doesn't have to start when you arrive at the venue. When you're on the party bus, it begins straight away. You may decide not even to arrive at the party. You've already got the party underway on the road. You could be a group of sports fans on your way to the game. Or, an excited crowd of bachelorette party girls. We have party buses with capacities ranging from 8 passengers all the way up to 55 passengers! This makes the perfect way to transport your entire group to the event. You don't have to crowd around in the party bus. There's plenty of room for everyone to dance and play games together. 1. Save Money for a Bigger Group If you're a large group of party animals, you don't need to fork out money for around four or five limos. Just make everything simple with one party bus. 2. Entertainment on Board You don't have to make your own entertainment either. There are televisions, fog machines, and bars on board the party bus. 3. Lots of Room for Everyone You don't have an intimate and crowded experience on a party bus. If you want to have plenty of space to display your dance moves, this is the right choice. What Are the Drawbacks of the Party Bus?There are also drawbacks of the party bus. While it may be a lot of fun to party on a moving bus, it's not for every party-goer. 1. The Wrong Tone If you're arriving at a fancy dinner party or conference event, you may find that a party bus sets the wrong tone. You need to go for more elegance and style with a limo. 2. You Won't Want to Get Off Once you get on a party bus, you won't want to leave even to go to the party. It could take you a while to persuade everyone on board to get off the vehicle. 3. Not Enough People A party bus isn't much fun with just two of you. You need to have a crowd to make the party bus worthwhile. While you can hire a party bus for around ten people, the more the merrier. Decision Time: Limo or Party Bus?Whether you want a limo or party bus to take you to your celebration event, you need to make a decision eventually.
It largely comes down to two factors: How many people are there? What is the tone you want to set for your arrival? While both types of transport can leave an impression on the other guests. You need to make sure it's the right impression. Do you want to get in touch with Heaven on Wheels? We are happy to answer any questions or give you a quote. Contact us now to learn more! At one time or another, every woman has dreamed of being a celebrity. Strolling down the red carpet in glamorous designer gowns and sky-high Manolo Blahnik stilettos, draped in glittering jewels, traveling everywhere by limousine, and perhaps best of all, being wined and dined by handsome Hollywood hunks.
While it is fairly unlikely that you will ever get to wear millions of dollars' worth of emeralds and diamonds, one aspect of celebrity life that actually is attainable is riding in a limo! If you are looking to rent a limo for a special occasion, read on for seven tips to doing it in style! Not Just for Weddings Anymore Of course, there are certain occasions that call for renting a limousine. Traditionally, these include weddings, proms, birthday or anniversary parties, bachelor or bachelorette shindigs, or other special events when you and your friends dress to the nines and paint the town red. But you don't have to restrict renting a limo to those few occasions. Why not get a group together and rent a limo to attend a sporting event, go club-hopping, or even just have a super fun girls' night out? Riding in a limo is a special occasion unto itself. It's so much fun, as a matter of fact, that once you start the mobile party, you might not want to get out of the limo when you arrive at your destination! What Kind of Limo Do You Want? A limo is a limo, right? Wrong! There is actually a wide variety of different limousines you can rent, depending on your desires, the number of people in your party, and the occasion. Classic sedan limos and stretch limos usually accommodate 8-10 people, while SUV limos -- Escalades, Hummers, and even Monster Ram limos -- can fit up to two dozen riders. While many limos are black or white, you can book some cars with even flashier paint jobs. Hot pink Escalade limo anyone? Know What's Included in the Cost. What do you pay for when you rent a limo? The car's cachet, of course. And its chauffeur. But when you book the limo, you will also be asked about the pickup location and the destination(s). That's because we want you to have the best possible night out in the limo. Leaving the driving and traffic to us is the most important. Most companies include everything in the price, i.e. fuel, tolls, mileage, and unlimited stops. Another consideration is the tip for the driver. Sometimes it's rolled into the final cost, and other times it's up to you to take care of the gratuity. It will save a lot of awkwardness and embarrassment to make sure you know how the tip will be handled! Are Limos BYOB? It's hard to imagine taking a limo ride without popping a bottle or two of champagne. Lots of people cite the ability to party without having to worry about a designated driver as one of the main reasons to rent a limo. But will you need to provide your own refreshments? Ask if the limo is "iced" -- that's the industry term. And caveat rider: some limos will come stocked with bottles of bargain-bin bubbly, but they'll charge you exorbitant fees for them. It's a little like the hotel minibar scenario. Be sure to check this aspect of the limo rental early in the planning stages. Lights, Music, Action In addition to the wet bar and glassware, most limousines also boast elaborate entertainment systems. We're talking surround sound, flat screen TVs with DVD players, gaming consoles, and even karaoke machines. Some even have a dance floor! Are you the type who always commandeers the aux cord? Put together a great party playlist ahead of time, so you're not stuck twirling the dial to find a bangin' song while everyone else whoops it up! You can also expect luxury details like leather seats, LED lighting, crystal chandeliers, inlaid wood cabinetry, mirrored ceilings, and other decorative touches to make you feel like a true A-lister. Deposit and Booking As you might expect, the most popular nights for limos are Friday and Saturday. And between proms, graduations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and weddings, June is the busiest month of the year. If you know you'll need a limo for a specific date, book it well in advance. That way, you will be sure that you have the ride of your dreams. Reputable limo fleets will require a deposit when you book your ride. Usually, it's been 20% and 50% of the total cost. However, beware of any service that asks you to pay the entire total up front. Just taking a limo ride for the hell of it, or flexible about when you celebrate? Ask the company about their off-season or midweek rates. There's a good chance you can get a great deal if you want to go cruisin' on a Tuesday or in the wintertime. Don't Get Scammed As with any industry, there are plenty of crooked limo operators out there. Make sure to check for licensure, registration, proof of insurance, and other credentials. You can always check with the Better Business Bureau, or solicit references from a particular company you're considering going with. Don't be hesitant about requesting a tour, either. Any limo service worth its salt will let you check out the cars for yourself. You will be able to see how spacious it is, try out the seats and the sound system, and of course, find out if the interior is as impressively appointed as the exterior. Ready to Rent a Limo? What do I need to do to rent a Party Bus? What do I need to know?
We get asked these questions all the time. Renting a Party Bus for your special event shouldn't be daunting, shouldn't cause you unnecessary stress and shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg! Booking a Party Bus really is easy as pie! Follow these 6 tips on renting a party bus in Dallas or anywhere else for that matter to make sure you don't get 'taken for a ride.' Step 1 : Know your date/time you need a bus for. Why is this important? There are many dates throughout the year that, due to high demand, can affect limo or party bus pricing. Prom Season, Wedding Season, and Holidays are special times throughout the year that the prices for a limo or party bus can be 1.5-2 times the normal rate. So, date and the number of hours you need a bus for are extremely important to get an accurate quote. Step 2 : Number of Passengers Buses can range from as little as 8 passengers all the way to 55 passengers. Price is dependent on what vehicle, the bigger the vehicle, the higher the price tag usually. Step 3 : What is your budget like? Step 4 : We highly suggest to see the limo or bus you want to rent IN PERSON! Trust no one! There are many national companies out there that are considered "brokers." They don't own not one bus or limo, yet they advertise nationally and then add their cut or commission so you end up paying even more! Do your homework, rent with a local company, make sure they OWN the limos they are renting, and see it in person if at all possible! Step 5 : Confirm with your guests. Nothing worse than being stuck on the hook for a limo or bus when all your friends back out! Step 6 : BOOK YOUR PARTY BUS! Dallas's NEWEST Sprinter Bus Limo is here!
Limo Sprinters also come in many different styles, from J seating to executive leather seats. Party style interiors to corporate, single colored lighting as well as lasers and strobe lights. So many options that the Sprinter has become one of the most versatile and trustworthy vehicle in most limo fleets.
How Much Should I Tip My Limo Driver?
So, how much? Industry standard is between 18-22% of the amount spent on the limo. Chauffeurs make really good pay, but their service and what you expect out of them should be reflected in how much they get paid. Meaning, it's not a guaranteed pay. Gratuity for a Chauffeur, like anywhere, is optional and based on the service. If the Chauffeur did an excellent job, then a 20% gratuity is standard, and sometimes even a little more if you deem they deserved it. If they do a poor job, then by all means, you're more than able to take back some of the gratuity. At Heaven On Wheels, we add on a 20% Gratuity to all reservations. We do require that because honestly, a lot of times people forget, or may be intoxicated by the end of the night and do not tip the drivers. However, if you ever feel that your Chauffeur did an exceptional job, you can definitely pay your Chauffeur above and beyond the 20% minimum. This is an industry standard and the practice is common most everywhere, again similar to automatic gratuity on larger groups at a restaurant. However, if for any reason, you feel your Chauffeur did not deserve the 20%, please let us know at your earliest convenience and we will refund you what you believe is a fair amount to pay for the Chauffeurs time and service.
So the next time you find yourself asking the question, "how much should I tip my driver," consider the training, licenses, DOT regulations, City permitting and insurance requirements it takes to be a professional Chauffeur, and also remember and keep in mind the precious, precious cargo they are carrying before shorting that Chauffeur! :) Heaven On Wheels Featured On Garage Rehab! We were so excited to get a call from Richard Rawling's production crew asking us if we wanted to take part in a new episode of the second season of Garage Rehab!
